Are you an experienced treasury professional looking for a dynamic role in an international corporate environment? Daikin Europe Coordination Center (DECC) is seeking a (Senior) Group Treasurer to play a strategic role in managing our treasury operations as a full-time position within our offices in Oostkamp. If you have expertise in cash management, liquidity planning, foreign exchange (FX) hedging, and financial risk management, this opportunity is for you.
At DECC, we don’t just manage finances—we drive financial strategy. We function as the in-house bank of Daikin Europe Group, ensuring efficient funding, risk management, and banking relationships. We actively support key initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions (M&A), ERP implementations, and regulatory compliance (J-SOX).
Your Role & Responsibilities:
As a (Senior) Group Treasurer, you will join a high-performing team of five treasury professionals and contribute to both front-office and mid-office treasury operations. After a comprehensive training period, your key responsibilities will include:
Front Office Responsibilities:
- Manage treasury operations, including funding, liquidity planning, and FX & interest rate hedging.
- Act as the primary liaison for banking partners and internal stakeholders on treasury-related matters.
- Optimize the group’s cash position, ensuring effective allocation and risk mitigation.
Mid-Office Responsibilities:
- Monitor and forecast cash flow and funding needs across Daikin Europe Group and affiliates.
- Analyze foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate results to support strategic financial planning.
- Oversee the monthly closing process for treasury-related financial instruments, including loans, deposits, and derivatives.
- Conduct financial analyses such as Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), investment valuations, and profitability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, J-SOX, EMIR, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Serve as a key-user for the Treasury Management System (TMS) and lead treasury-related digital transformation projects.
- Oversee banking infrastructure to streamline and secure the payment process.
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Applied Economics, Commercial Science, or Commercial Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a treasury role within a multinational company or as a treasury consultant.
- Strong command of English. Knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, with familiarity in SAP FI, (Power) BI, or TMS as an asset.
- Analytical, precise, resilient and proactive. You are a strong communicator with a creative problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for projects within Europe (up to 10%).
