The responsibilities of the Controls Field Service Technician among others will include:

• Build in depth technical knowledge on control and networking products and offer high quality technical support (on field and remotely through telephone/e-mail) to Technical Support engineers as well as Field Service Technicians.
• Participate in the design of new and/or tailor made controls solutions (incl. pricing, BOM) and implement these solutions (panel design/building, installation, commissioning, programming) with the support of Senior Technical Support Engineers.
• Participate in the standardization of control solutions and the creation "out of the shelf" packages.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, following blue prints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units at customer's location.
• Use service tools and computers with specialized software for design, programming and fault diagnosis of control and network systems.
• Document work by timely completing paperwork on each job and maintain required files.
• Provide a superior level of service to our customers, both in person and over the phone. Go above and beyond to ensure customers are getting the most out of their investment in Daikin products.
• Perform all designated activities in a safe manner, following the safety procedures and be accountable of their PPE and tools.
• Follow trainings to stay updated of Daikin new products and solutions and latest market trends.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Fully qualified Electrician or alternatively Diploma/Degree holder in Automation.
• Up to 3 years of experience in an Electrician or Controls role.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings, control panel specification/design, PLC programming, HMI screens, and controllers along with an understanding of Building Management and Supervisory Systems.
• Experience on supporting customers and handling customer requests will be a plus.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Good working knowledge of the English language.
