Department

The Corporate Planning division, located in Brussels, consists of several departments: The corporate planning department in charge of Group Controlling & Daikin Europe controlling, the Business Analytics department, the Internal controls & J-Sox department, and Corporate Communications department.

The division is responsible for drilling down the strategy into annual budgets and realizing the group targets. This is done in cooperation with all sales and manufacturing entities, as well as with other departments in Daikin Europe. As a backbone for group-wide reporting, the department takes care of the management of the sales-, margin-, and pricing data, as well as collecting and reporting market intelligence.

Our mission is to safeguard and manage profitability, via periodic reporting to top-management, close follow-up and by proposing countermeasure actions.

Furthermore, the division is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate governance and internal controls in the group (e.g. J-SOx and system access).

Business analytics is divided per 3 streams: project stream, operational and key users. Current position is regarding joining project stream of the team.

The vacancy is in the Business Analytics department.

Function

• The department is playing a leading role in developing and rolling-out actionable dashboards in sales related departments and affiliates, as well as in marketing and customer experience domains. Our aim is to guide top management and business in making well informed decisions.
• We are in close cooperation with business and IT to bridge the gap between data insights and business strategy. This includes understanding business requirements and transforming them in function ones towards IT. Those insights are crucial in driving innovation and achieving our organizational goals.
• You will be member of different project teams, who are involved in SAP/Azure projects at Headquarter and affiliates. You will be collecting input and write conceptual views of new streams of reporting. This includes writing requirements on semantic models to IT, being included in discussions regarding data ETL and testing the outcome.
• Our department is responsible for setting up the projects and post-go-live responsible to ensure that end users have support on their questions, issues, improvement needs. Together with key users we ensure that our reporting corresponds within source systems and its initial set up.
• You will promote the development of innovative new data and reporting platforms in collaboration with business and IT across all departments and Daikin Affiliates.

Your profile

• You have a master degree in Business Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math or Data Science
• You preferably already have a first experience in a financial or highly analytical role
• You have a proactive and out of the box thinking mindset
• Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• You have the ability to understand & challenge the needs of customers and to formalise the derived business requirements. Ability to understand functional requirements is a plus.
• You have development experience in reporting tools (preferably PowerBI, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio or SAP BO/BI). Ability to write DAX in most performant and optimized way – asset.
• You have experience in rolling out reporting to broad audiences (200+users), know your way in change management and user adoption success.
• You have basic knowledge in sales& financial reporting, understanding in profitability analysis (SAP S4/PR2 experience is a plus).
• Acquaintance with HQ – affiliates structure is big plus as you would be cooperating a lot among different departments and affiliates across the group.
• You are result-driven with a strong focus on improvements     
• You have good knowledge of English, knowledge of other EU languages are an asset.
