Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.

DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.

 

We are looking for a Customer Master Data Governance Lead in Daikin Europe in Brussels to help us monitor & improve the quality of our Customer Master Data and to take the business lead in IT projects related to Customer Master Data Governance & Management solutions that will allow us to establish the “single source of truth” of each customer of the Daikin Europe Group.
 
About us
The Corporate Planning division consists of several departments: Controlling and Planning, Business Analytics, Corporate Communication, Internal Control and SAP authorization office as well as the Master Data Governance department.  These teams together to coordinate cross-company activities such as the budget-making and execution for Daikin in the entire EMEA region (turnover of more than 4 billion EUR).
The Master Data Governance section of Corporate Planning is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the governance of Customer Master Data in the entire group (e.g. defining standardized data quality rules, processes and definitions). The mission of the team is to enable efficient master data management and provide high-quality customer master data as a service to the entire Daikin Europe Group.
 
About the role
As a Customer Master Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for:
-    Owning the policies and guidelines that will assure the quality of our Customer Master Data by

  • Defining the required policies and guidelines through alignment and consensus with your stakeholders across the company (Daikin Europe & subsidiaries). Always starting from the Customer journey and Customer needs
  • Making sure all data quality rules, definitions, guidelines and policies are centrally and consistently documented
  • Making sure the Customer Master Data Community in the Daikin Europe Group is being trained adequately on these policies and guidelines
  • Ensuring that the policies and guidelines are correctly applied by the entire organization

-    Owning & coordinating the Customer Master Data Governance action plan across the entire Daikin Europe Group by

  • Aligning with stakeholders (Data Liaisons) across the company (scattered across the EMEA territory) to define & prioritize actions to improve Customer Master Data quality
  • Following up on the execution of these actions

-    Owning Customer Master Data Governance objectives by 

  • defining and following up KPIs for data quality
  • defining the requirements for the data quality reporting which will be built and maintained by the Customer Master Data Analyst

You will act as a data diplomat. Your goal is to resolve tensions and remove hurdles around data in the organization. As such, you will facilitate the required change management to assure the data governance operating model is running smoothly.

About you

  • You have 5 to 10 years of working experience in a project/program management context
  • You are a program manager with strong communication and change management skills
  • You have a passion for data and like to think on a conceptual level
  • You are interested in the integration of new technologies into existing business processes and understand how to optimise certain business processes.
  • You have an analytical mind and can translate complex data requirements into clear policies
  • You speak and write fluently in English. Knowledge of another European language is an asset.
  • You are a team player who feels comfortable building good interpersonal skills 
  • You are open to occasional travels within EMEA
