Job description
With significant growth of the Service and Solution Business Unit, we are looking for reinforcement of our Service Demand Planning team to further shape and develop Daikin’s business for our customers.
As a Service Planning Officer, you will play a strategic role in supporting the growth and efficiency of Daikin’s Service & Solution Business Unit across the EMEA region. Acting as a key liaison between selected affiliates and headquarters, you will coordinate service planning activities, analyze business performance, and drive process improvements. This role offers the opportunity to shape internal planning systems and contribute directly to the profitability and operational excellence of our service business.
Key Responsibilities
- Affiliate Coordination: Serve as the primary contact between EMEA affiliates and Daikin HQ, facilitating two-way communication and ensuring alignment on service planning and business goals.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse business and financial reports from affiliates; synthesize insights and present findings to HQ teams and management.
- Financial Planning Support: Help with coordination and consolidation of budget, forecast, and results of affiliates; monitor KPIs and follow up on action plans to support profitable growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments (Corporate Planning, Service Operations, IT) to integrate affiliate needs into broader initiatives and ensure smooth execution.
- Process Improvement Guidance: Advise affiliates on service planning, P&L optimization, and demand forecasting; support ad hoc requests and drive continuous improvement.
- Reporting Systems Development: Act as key user of Power BI; enhance internal reporting structures and develop dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations for business reviews; ensure stakeholders are informed of performance trends, strategic initiatives, and planning updates.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, service/sales planning, or a highly analytical role, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working across cultures and departments.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset.
- Willingness to work from Brussels HQ and travel across the EMEA region as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to international/matrix organizations.
- Experience in developing reporting tools or dashboards for business planning.
- Ability to work independently and proactively suggest improvements to existing processes.
