Business Process Officer

Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
The Department
The EMEA Development Control department is part of the Daikin's European Development Centre.
The responsibility of the EMEA Development Control department is to provide the necessary support for our development groups. This includes the following:
- planning and requirement setting for new development projects
- resource (budget, manpower) planning and follow-up
- monitor, visualize and report the planning and execution of development projects
- guarantee and improve internal processes and systems
- making of installation and operating instructions for our products
- learning and communication
The job location is the Daikin Europe Research and Development Centre in Ghent, with occasional trips to Ostend office and/or Brussels office if needed.
The role
The Business Process Officer is responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, and continuously improving business processes within our EMEA Development Centre. As the European Development Centre is spread over five locations in Europe, it’s our challenge to standardize and optimize these processes and systems in each base.
Key Responsibilities – Project Leader (Business Process)
- Lead end-to-end business process improvement projects, from analysis through implementation
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria
- Analyze, redesign, and standardize processes to improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and data flow
- Drive digitalization of business processes by aligning process design with IT systems and tools
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure alignment between business and digital solutions
- Manage project risks, dependencies, KPIs, and support change management and adoption
Your profile
- Master degree, preferably with a background in Business Analytics or Business Engineering
- Strong understanding of business process management and improvement methodologies
- Ability to translate complex workflows into clear, structured process models
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple levels
