Testroom Technician

Research & Development Center – Ghent

 

Do you want to make a real impact on the newest Daikin developments? At our European Development Center in Ghent, new products are developed and thoroughly tested on performance, safety, sustainability, and reliability. Only after successful validation do they move into large-scale production. In this process, you are a vital link.

 

Function

As a Testroom Technician, you will be part of the facility team. You are responsible for ensuring a correct, safe, and high-quality installation of prototypes in our test rooms, supporting the engineers and contributing to a well-functioning test environment.

 

Your main tasks include:

  • Executing the installation, removal, or modifications of prototype test setups.
  • Ensuring a qualitative and compliant installation of prototypes according to technical specifications.
  • Installing and connecting test equipment such as power meters, cameras, data cables, sensors, …
  • Preparing, planning, and following up test setups inside the test rooms.
  • Assisting in validation tests such as structural tests and electrical safety, based on work instructions and checklists.
  • Reporting deviations or issues during installation or test setup.
  • Supporting improvement initiatives related to test setup efficiency and process stability.
  • Maintaining work instructions and project documentation to support knowledge sharing.

 

Profile

  • You are a graduate in Electromechanics, Thermodynamics, Refrigeration Techniques or equivalent by experience.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and work with precision and a strong quality focus.
  • You are analytical and react efficiently to changes or unexpected problems.
  • You are a team player and feel comfortable communicating with different departments.
  • You have a very good knowledge of English.
