Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.

DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.

 

We are currently seeking an International Tax Specialist to join our team and help navigate the complex tax landscape.

 

Position Overview:

Located at the Headquarters of the Daikin group in EMEA, you will become part of a professional and driven tax team within a multinational entity. The central tax team coordinates all tax operations for the group, together with the local accounting teams and our shared service centre in Poland. With 70+ affiliates mainly in EMEA, we are looking to enforce our central tax team. As an International Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and advising on complex tax projects that have cross-border elements. You will  handle Pillar 2 obligations and calculations, as well as developing and maintaining effective transfer pricing structures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage international tax projects with cross-border components.
  • Proactively follow-up on changes in international tax legislation and analyse the potential impact on the Group’s existing business.
  • Be a central point of contact for our local finance managers and assist them in complex international tax matters.
  • Develop, implement, and review transfer pricing structures in accordance with international guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Pillar 2 obligations, including performing detailed calculations and analyses.
  • Assist with TP audits in the group and explain our policy towards Tax Authorities
  • You are part of our multidisciplinary tax team and will deepen your knowledge in all areas of tax as business cases are generally not limited to one area of tax.

 

Qualifications:

  • You have a Master's degree in economics or economic sciences complemented with a degree in Tax.
  • You have +4 year experience of working in international tax in a multinational company or tax advisory.
  • You are passionate about tax and eager to continuous learning in all areas of tax.
  • You can work independently within strict deadlines with a hands-on mentality and you .are comfortable in balancing multiple projects at the same time.
  • You have attention to detail and take ownership in your job.
  • You have excellent oral and written English skills.
