You will be part of DENV's HR Service Center, a team of experienced HR specialists committed to providing an optimal Employee Experience. We combine efficient digital solutions with personal advice on all personnel and HR legal issues.

Together with the payroll team (inhouse external partner), we ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. In addition, we are the daily point of contact for employees regarding their personnel files, remuneration and benefits, leave entitlements, and other social and legal issues. The team also provides accurate HR reports to business managers and internal HR partners, enabling them to make the right decisions.

Our target group consists of a highly diverse mix (e.g., generation, nationality, job profiles, levels of responsibility, etc.) of blue-collar and white-collar workers at the various DENV HQ locations in Belgium. The topics we deal with range from individual to collective.

As an HR Officer in this team, you will contribute to the efficient execution of our HR services and processes, including payroll administration (supported by an internal external partner) and employee benefits management. 

In addition to your immediate colleagues within the HR Service Center, you will also have intensive professional contact with other HR teams (HR Center of Expertise and HR Strategic Business Partners), trade unions, and business stakeholders.

Your main place of work will be Ostend, but you may also visit other Belgian locations from time to time.

 

Job description

As an operational HR expert, you will be the point of contact for employees and will handle questions about: 

  • personnel files
  • monthly salary payments & employee benefits
  • leave entitlements and part-time employment
  • social and legal issues

As well as:

  • you will manage employee benefits and social documents
  • you will provide support in the event of suspensions, follow up on time registrations and absences, etc.
  • prepare the payroll in collaboration with the social secretariat
  • draw up reports for business managers and HR

 

In addition to more day-to-day operational tasks, you will also have the opportunity to work on more project-oriented topics:

  • Setting up and managing data quality processes in the various systems (Success Factors, SAP-HCM, etc.)
  • Setting up and managing reporting and KPIs for the HR Service Center
  • Translating HR policies or socio-legal changes into daily operational HR processes
  • Developing and implementing processes relating to specific areas such as payroll tax exemptions and the like
  • Supporting processes relating to flexible remuneration (cafeteria plan) as well as insurance and other employee benefits etc.

 

Experience

  • You have a (master's) degree in HR
  • You have (initial) experience in HR with a focus on personnel administration, remuneration, etc.
  • You have good organizational skills and can familiarize yourself with HR software (such as SuccessFactors and SAP)
  • You have an interest in digitizing processes
  • You excel in accuracy
  • You have excellent Excel skills
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are a team player and strive to build and maintain good relationships with other HR colleagues
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
