Product Development Validation & Testing Engineer - Ventilation

Department
As EMEA Development Centre (EDC), we develop and test air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation products as well as controls and IOT solutions.
These are produced in different factories located within and outside Europe. These products are put on the market through our various Daikin distributors and affiliates within Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Your role
As a product validation engineer within our EMEA Development Centre, you will be involved in the development and testing of commercial air conditioning products focusing primarily on the quality of the newest products.
You core tasks will include:
- Together with the product department team, analyse the unit requirements, functionalities and potential failure modes to determine which tests and evaluation criteria’s the products must undergo
- Determine the testing schedule autonomously while taking the global planning within and outside EDC into account.
- Execute the validation tests (structure, reliability, performance, sound and safety)Deeply analyse the test results and confirm required criteria’s are met
- Validate and verify the results of FEM simulations
- Discuss the test results with the product development team and have an active role in countermeasure definitions
- Gather data, visualise and officialise the test report
- Discuss your interim results with the management, make diagnoses and ensure the setting up and implementation of action plans to identify and avoid bottlenecks.
Report and confirm development quality status to senior management in design review meetings
Your profile :
- You have a master's degree in engineering, preferably in thermodynamics or energy systems.
- You have a hands-on mentality and have an analytical, quality driven mindset with a high sense of responsibility
- You are a person with a strong technical interest in ventilation
- You have a good understanding of analysis tools and methods
- You are a team player who is driven to find solutions to challenging technical issues
- You have a strong interest in the HVACR business and want to actively contribute to achieving the goals of the Green Deal.
- You enjoy playing an active role in projects and you have the requisite self-discipline to draw up timetables, make priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of both spoken and written English are essential for this position.
