Product Reliability Technician

Job Description: 

You will be integrated in a project team where you will be responsible for the practical arrangements and the support for the product validation engineers:

• Plan, follow up and assist test setups in our test rooms. 
• Support HVAC equipment installation tasks.
• Foresee, maintain all equipment for a test and install them (power meter, camera’s, data cables, sensors,…).
• Execute validation tests e.g. structure, electrical safety based on work instructions and check lists.
• Prepare the test data to discuss the test judgement with the product validation engineer
• Assist our improvement teams to enhance efficiency of development tests.
• Maintain work instruction system and project files to guarantee knowledge sharing and growth.

Requirements:

• You have obtained a bachelor degree in a technical domain such as Electromechanics, or equivalent by experience, complemented by a technical secondary degree
• You are naturally curious  in HVAC test set-up installations
• You have an analytical, quality-focused mindset.
• You are driven to achieve the objectives successfully together with your team.
• You have the ability to react efficiently to occurring changes and problems. 
• You are a team player and are not afraid to communicate with different departments throughout the entire organization.
• Knowledge of both spoken and written English are essential for this position. 
• This vacancy is open to both recent graduates and candidates with experience. 

Afdeling 

Als het EMEA Development Centre (EDC) ontwikkelen we airconditioning-, verwarmings-, koeling - en ventilatieproducten, evenals controls en IoT-oplossingen. Deze worden geproduceerd in verschillende fabrieken, zowel binnen als buiten Europa. De producten worden op de markt gebracht via onze diverse Daikin-distributeurs en dochterondernemingen in Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika. 
Het hoofdkwartier van het EMEA Development Centre bevindt zich in Oostende en Gent. Deze open positie is gevestigd in het kantoor in Oostende, hoewel een permanente verhuizing naar het kantoor in Gent gepland is eind 2024.

Jouw rol 

Je wordt geïntegreerd in een projectteam waar je verantwoordelijk zal zijn voor de praktische regelingen en de ondersteuning van de productvalidatie-engineers:

• Plannen, opvolgen en assisteren bij testopstellingen in onze testruimtes.
• Ondersteuning bieden bij installatietaken van HVAC-apparatuur. 
• Voorzien en onderhouden van alle apparatuur voor een test en deze installeren (wattmeter, camera's, datakabels, sensoren, ...).
• Validatietests uitvoeren, bijvoorbeeld structuur-, elektrische veiligheidstests op basis van werkvoorschriften en controlelijsten. 
• De testgegevens voorbereiden om het testoordeel te bespreken met de productvalidatie-engineer. 
• Onze verbeterteams assisteren om de efficiëntie van ontwikkelingstests te verbeteren. 
• Het onderhouden van het werkinstructiesysteem en projectbestanden om kennisdeling en groei te garanderen.

Profiel

• Je hebt een bachelorsdiploma behaald in een technische richting zoals elektromechanica, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring, aangevuld met een technisch secundair diploma.
• Je bent van nature nieuwsgierig naar HVAC-testopstellingen. 
• Je hebt een analytische, kwaliteitsgerichte mindset. 
• Je bent gedreven om samen met je team de doelstellingen succesvol te behalen.
• Je hebt de vaardigheid om efficiënt te reageren op veranderende situaties en problemen. 
• Je bent een teamspeler en bent niet bang om te communiceren met verschillende afdelingen binnen de hele organisatie. 
• Kennis van zowel gesproken als geschreven Engels is essentieel voor deze functie.
