(Senior) Group Treasurer

Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.

Daikin Europe Coordination Center (aka DECC) is the in-house bank of Daikin Europe Group (aka DENV G), responsible for managing the group’s funding, hedging, banking, and cash management activities across Europe. DECC is a critical business partner, actively supporting company-wide initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, ERP implementations, and regulatory compliance (J-SOX).
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Treasurer or Senior Group Treasurer to join our treasury team and contribute to DECC’s strategic financial management.
Join Daikin Europe Coordination Center and play a pivotal role in our treasury operations while advancing your expertise in a leading multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a (Senior) Group Treasurer, you will join a collaborative team of 5 professionals. Following an intensive training period, you’ll engage in both front-office and mid-office treasury operations, including:
Front Office:
- Manage the group’s treasury position, including hedging activities for foreign exchange and interest rates and funding and liquidity management.
- Serve as a key contact for banking partners and sister companies on treasury matters.
Mid Office:
- Forecast and follow up the cash-flow and funding needs of both DENV G and DENV G affiliates (including DECC), as a basis to optimize our funding strategy
- Forecast and analyse foreign exchange and interest results
- Manage the monthly closing process for all financial instruments (loans, deposits, derivatives…)
- Conduct financial analysis, including weighted average cost of capital calculations, investment valuations, and profitability assessments
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, J-SOX, EMIR, and other regulatory standards
- Assume a key-user role within our Treasury Management System (TMS) and oversee treasury-related projects
- Manage our banking infrastructure and support a smooth and efficient payment process
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Applied Economics, Commercial Science, or Commercial Engineering.
- Relevant experience in a treasury role within a multinational company or as a treasury consultant:
- Group Treasurer: Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Senior Group Treasurer: Minimum 10 years of experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient with numerical analysis and equipped with a critical, analytical mindset.
- Ability to think creatively and approach challenges with an innovative perspective.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Familiarity with SAP FI, (Power) BI, or TMS is an asset.
- Strong command of English; knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.
- A true team player with initiative, resilience, and a commitment to precision.
- Strong communication skills, fast learning ability, and a proactive, enterprising approach.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for projects within Europe (up to 10%).
