Target and scope of the function:

 

As a Credit Analyst within Daikin Europe’s EMEA Headquarters, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of the organisation. Your mission is to ensure that our customer portfolio remains sound, well-managed, and fully aligned with Daikin’s risk management framework. You will operate at the crossroads of Finance, Sales, Logistics and external partners, contributing directly to sustainable and profitable growth.

 

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Monitoring and managing customer credit lines on a daily basis, ensuring timely assessment of blocked orders and releases to support business continuity while protecting financial exposure.
  • Proactively identifying and implementing credit risk mitigation solutions, in close collaboration with Sales, Logistics, Service, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining frequent, constructive communication with key partners such as sales teams, customers, credit insurers, brokers, and other third parties involved in the credit management process.
  • Supporting and guiding collection specialists, helping them navigate complex cases and ensuring consistent application of credit policies across the region.
  • Assisting in the resolution of invoice‑related issues, working with internal departments to remove administrative obstacles affecting customer payments.
  • Evaluating the bad debt risk of overdue receivables and assessing the need for timely and accurate bad debt provision postings in line with accounting standards (including IFRS 9).
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and reporting within the Credit Control function to strengthen efficiency, transparency and risk oversight.

 

 

Profile:

 

  • Master degree in an economical/financial area
  • Team player with a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English and strong communication skills
  • Passionate about credit management and familiar with the most important concepts and tools such as overdue, credit insurance, letter of credit…, preferably supported by a first work experience
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset, knowledge of FSCM is a strong asset
  • A basic knowledge of IFRS accounting standard related to credit control (eg, IFRS 9) is recommended
  • Eager to learn
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, always looking for improvement and able to troubleshoot
