IT Infrastructure Process & Service Engineer - Networking & Connectivity

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for maintaining high-quality IT services? We are seeking a highly skilled Process & Service Engineer to join our Networking & Connectivity team.  

In this role, Your expertise will be critical in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure . You will monitor the services, manage incidents, ensure SLAs are met, and coordinate small changes within the environment. Your proposed process improvements will ensure seamless service delivery.  

Collaboration with managed service providers and internal stakeholders will be central to your success. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Take care of the network domain by demonstrating strong expertise in LANs, WANs, firewall management, proxy services, remote access and network security. 

• Provide valuable insights for network architecture and design and stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies. 

• Oversee incident management and ensure adherence to SLAs. 

• Communicate with the business during outages to provide updates and resolutions 

• Coordinate and manage small changes within the IT environment (change management). 

• Establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with IT processes. Align processes with internal policies and practices, and continuously improve their efficiency and effectiveness. 

• Collaborate closely with internal technical teams and external partners. 

• Maintain delivery within the defined budgetary framework 

Essential Skills: 

• Strong knowledge of Cisco enterprise routing & switching concepts 

• Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other core network protocols 

• Checkpoint UTM (firewall, IPS, web filtering, ...) is an area that is well-known to you 

• Broad knowledge of VPN technologies 

• Familiar with Broadcom/VMWare SD-WAN deployment 

• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices 

Key Attributes: 

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• You’re optimistic in life and think about solutions, not problems. 

• Strong team player. 

• Familiarity with service management practices and their application. 

• Excellent communication skills in English & Dutch (written & spoken) 

• Willingness to travel for short business trips abroad. 

• Experience within the related technologies is a plus, but enthusiasm, curiosity & grinta beats experience any day. 

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP,  ITILv4, CompTIA+ are a plus
