Department Overview

 

As part of the EMEA Development Centre (EDC), we innovate air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and applied products and solutions. These products are manufactured in various factories within and outside Europe and are marketed through our Daikin distributors and affiliates throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

 

Your Role

As a Compliance Engineer within our EMEA Development Centre, you will play a pivotal role in the development of heat pumps and commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring they meet the requirements of our diverse stakeholders, including customers and manufacturers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate productively with the compliance team and other departments (development engineers, sales, legal) to ensure components and products adhere to regulatory requirements throughout the product development process.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance of our products with the applicable legal and environmental regulations, as with internal development standards
  • Determine the necessary tests and evaluations to prove compliance to applicable regulations and analyse the test results. Support the development engineers in defining possible improvements to the product design
  • Write technical evaluations and summary reports of your findings. Work in an orderly manner
  • Autonomously determine your work plan while considering the planning within and outside EDC.
  • Discuss interim results with management, diagnose issues, and implement action plans to identify and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Act as the crucial contact person between the EDC development group and our compliance department to achieve your goals.

 

 

Your Profile

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in engineering (mechanics, electromechanics, thermodynamics, or similar).
  • You have a strong technical interest and a team-player mentality.
  • You are driven to find solutions for technical requirements and specific client inquiries.
  • You enjoy actively participating in projects and possess the self-discipline to create timetables, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
  • This position is open to both recent graduates and experienced candidates.
