Test Platform Engineer

The EMEA Electrics and Controls department, located at Tech Lane Ghent Science Park, is one of the fastest growing departments withing the EMEA Development Centre of Daikin. This department is responsible for development and improvement of controls: room controls, unit controls, App and cloud controls.

Part of our work involves:

• Embedded software development
• Hardware development
• Cloud and App development

As a Test Platform Engineer, your are the single point of contact for the Daikin Test Platform.


How does your day look like

• You monitor and ensure the optimal working of the platform
• You are responsible for the capacity planning.
• You take the lead to coordinate and execute fixes yourself or in collaboration with other teams
• You monitor how many tests need to be run and ensure this is done as efficiently and optimally as possible with the available resources.
• You know how the DTA Platform (Daikin Platform) works and are the single point of contact for the testers
• You are the link between all the teams that work with/for the DTA Platform (DTA devs, HW makers, Test teams)
• You promote the DTA so that other teams or departments can also use this platform for testing products/apps/software;

The talent you bring

• You have a relevant bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• You feel a strong match with the Daikin Vision and want to work on innovative products to fight climate change
• You have experience in at least two of the following domains:
  • Test methodologies, Test Management Tools and Test Automation
  • ISTQB, Test Link, Robot Framework, Jenkins, IoT, ...
  • Multiple platforms: IOS, Android, Windows and Mac
  • Embedded software
• You are a strong collaborator who is driven to find solutions for technical requirements and are capable of thinking on a conceptual level
• You strive for consensus between stakeholders in the project.
