The responsibilities of the Business Planning Supervisor among others will include:

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data-driven solutions.
  • Liaise with customers in order to collate market data and insights, so as to gain a better undestanding of the HVAC industry and make the connection between the company strategies and future trends.
  • Conduct and interpret complex data analysis using various statistical tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Translate data insights into clear and concise high-level reports and presentations and make proposals on how to achieve and/or to improve company results.
  • Oversee commercial policy (price, discount, rebate and marketing contribution schemes), perform analysis on regular and ad-hoc discounts and promotional incentives in order to evaluate ROI. Ensure Profit levels are met and provide feedback to Sales and Senior Management.
  • Lead the annual budget process, implement overall business plans, monitor & analyze possible deviations from initial plan and propose counter measures (if necessary).
  • Welcome challenging/complex projects and demonstrate self as a change agent with an ability for working "smarter not harder" by making continuous improvement to the efficiency of the processes they contribute to.
  • Act as a mentor, allocate tasks across the team and follow-up on the execution of activities and projects. Able to cultivate an environment where people want to work together and grow.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in business analytics and recommend their implementation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Closely liaise and report independently to Daikin Europe (DENV) organisation with respect to the designated area of responsibility in an accurate and timely manner and contribute to international projects if required.

                                                                             

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Previous experience in managing a small team will be desired.
  • Background in either multinationals or mid-size companies will be preferred.
  • BSc, MSc or MBA in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data mining, modeling, and analytical methodologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office is required.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and Power BI will be desired.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
