Supply and Logistics - Daikin in Belgium (EN)

The Supply Centre Division is responsible for the supply & distribution of heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration products in the EMEA region. We are a virtual organisation with colleagues working across the entire EMEA area and a headquarter which is located in Ostend.

Our dynamic team is acting in the mid of a rapid changing environment on every possible level. New products are launched nearly every month, new production lines are setup to cover the increasing demand and new customers challenge our capabilities in our developing markets. The growth in these new business segments is being supported by acquisitions, making the post-merger integration of these companies also part of our job. The challenges for our Supply Centre are large and diverse. 

Balancing Customer Service targets, Inventory levels and Logistic costs are the main focus points, with attention to our sustainable goals.

The division exists out of 2 departments: supply planning and logistics.

Within the Supply Planning department, sales forecasts from customers in the EMEA region are balanced with supply flows from both the local factory in Ostend and factories abroad in the Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey, Spain as well as in the Far East. The supply is further distributed through the network of more than 20 European warehouses.

The Logistics department is responsible for the goods and information flow of finished products, from factory to customer. The selection and follow-up of the best-in-class logistics partners for warehousing and transport is really key. We are continuously looking for efficiency improvements and cost saving initiatives in each domain of our supply chain.
