DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
Department
The Corporate Planning division, located in Brussels, consists of several departments: The corporate planning department in charge of Group Controlling & Daikin Europe controlling, the Business Analytics department, the Internal controls & J-Sox department, and Corporate Communications department.
The division is responsible for drilling down the strategy into annual budgets and realizing the group targets. This is done in cooperation with all sales and manufacturing entities, as well as with other departments in Daikin Europe. As a backbone for group-wide reporting, the department takes care of the management of the sales-, margin-, and pricing data, as well as collecting and reporting market intelligence.
Our mission is to safeguard and manage profitability, via periodic reporting to top-management, close follow-up and by proposing countermeasure actions.
Furthermore, the division is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate governance and internal controls in the group (e.g. J-SOx and system access).

About the job - Senior Data Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and improvement-focused Senior Data & Control Analyst to join our project team at Daikin EMEA HQ in Brussels.
In this role, you will ensure and develop the framework of our reporting environment within our IT system landscape, participating and leading roll-outs, standardisation and improvement projects across the entire Daikin EMEA Group.
You will act as the bridge between business and IT by collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, business controllers, and IT analysts in Daikin HQ and Affiliate companies of the EMEA group.
Function
- The department is playing a leading role in the roll-out of actionable dashboards in sales, service and supply related departments and affiliates. You will write functional and business requirements to create the data models and develop PBI reports for these roll outs.
- You are in close cooperation with business to understand their needs and requirements. You are able to look at these needs and requirements in the perspective of business and in the perspective of functional requirements.
- You will be member of different project teams, who are involved in SAP/Azure projects at Headquarter and affiliates.
- Together with our IT department you search what tools, functionalities and data the business needs to analyse and steer the business. At Daikin we aim to continuously improve and be at the forefront of new developments.
- You'll be the driver behind the move towards more data driven business in EMEA.
- You will promote the development of innovative new data and reporting platforms in collaboration with business and IT across all departments and Daikin Affiliates.
Your profile
- You have a master degree in Business Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math or Data Science
- You already have extended experience in a similar role as data analyst or business analyst, preferably in a complex and big organisation.
- You have a strong understanding of ETL processes and can guide the IT department in structuring tables, relationships, and dimension mappings correctly. Basic knowledge of data warehousing (SAP BW, Microsoft Azure, Databricks) is a plus.
- You are proficient in DAX, following best practices and handling complex statements such as calculation groups and parameter tables. Experience with Tabular Editor for centralized DAX management is preferred.
- You develop Power BI dashboards and reports, transforming user input into proactive data visualizations that facilitate decision-making. You have experience optimizing report performance using tools like DAX Studio, Report Analyzer, DAX Optimizer, and ALM Toolkit (a plus).
- You have a basic understanding of source systems such as SAP PR2 (S/4HANA), CRM, and CEC.
- You have experience in building sales-related reports, including sales analysis, pipeline tracking, gross margin variation, SG&A tracking, and P&L analysis.
- You are proactive and think outside the box to drive innovative solutions.
- You have the ability to understand & challenge the needs of customers and to formalise the derived requirements
