Opening large perspectives: Our proposal/Your opportunity

This one-year graduate engineering trainee program allows you, as a recently graduate, to immerse yourself in the Daikin Group. During this year, you can maximize your learning curve by rotating over different departments, doing a variety of jobs/projects, while being supported by extensive training.

Your program starts at the Daikin MEA headquarter in Dubai, UAE.

During the first 3 months you will be introduced to Daikin:

• getting familiar with the Daikin company culture, getting an overview of the value chain, learning about Daikin business and how it operates in various departments.  

• joining 3 different departments (each for 3 months) and participating in specific projects

  • allowing you to gain specific knowledge and working experience
  • actively contributing to the success of the department
  • gaining on-the-job experience in different fields

• at the end of this introduction period, it will be clear which domains are key to your growth

After this program, you are assigned an open position within the Daikin Group, matching your profile and experience. This is the start of your international career with many perspectives!

Throughout your career you remain open to international rotations.

What Does the Program Cover?

The GRADUATE ENGINEERING TRAINEE programmed consists of a 12-month training period, which is split into 2 phases

The first phase is 2 months duration and includes a mix of competency and skills development to upgrade your corporate commercial skills and knowledge.

The second phase is 10 months and is 70% technical and 30% commercial. This is to enforce technical skills in day-to-day operations, and to upgrade commercial and managerial skills.

During your placements, you will gain on-the-job experience, as well as the practical skills and knowledge that will support your development as a future engineering leader in a company

A technical project is presented at the end of training period.

During the Program.

During the GRADUATE ENGINEERING TRAINEE Program, participants will receive a structured and personalized training set up.

  • You will be able to develop an understanding of the various department's function and how it interrelates with all business strategy.
     
  • You will gain in-depth knowledge of the specific department (last module before permanent placement) to be able to assume the duties and responsibilities of a key team member (Sales Engineer, Consulting Engineer, Service Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer) by the end of the training period.
     
  • You will learn and practice supervisory and managerial techniques.
     
  • You will obtain formal training in those areas and be placed in on-the-job situations where these skills are practiced (e.g. planning, time management, coaching and counseling, establishing priorities, effective communication and management of resources).

During your 12-month training you will also take part in several other face-to-face training courses focused on other business competence areas.

As a GRADUATE ENGINEERING TRAINEE, you will also have access to Daikin Wisdom30 Academy, our on-line learning and development tool, through which you can complete e-learning courses, learn a language on-line and make use of our on-line business library.

  • You will be assigned a formal Mentor who will support both your personal and professional growth during and after the program.
     
  • You will be expected to regularly review your own performance and will be given both formal and informal feedback throughout the program

Participant Commitment

This is a structured program; however, your drive and commitment will affect what you get out of it. You will be keen to learn your craft on the job, whilst putting your learning into practice. Your roles and responsibilities will evolve as your confidence and capabilities grow! This means you’ll have to be driven and flexible.

There are five main criteria for the program:

  • You must have graduated from a Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering related bachelor’s degree in 2021 or 2022.
  • You must speak, read and write English fluently (Addional fluency in French is a plus)
  • You must be able/willing to live and work in any one of the following countries: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Nigeria and/or Morocco
  • You must be fully mobile with international mindset to live abroad for at least 3 years to come
  • You must have the desire to become top talent
