About the role:

The Data Center Technical Planning Engineer is responsible for managing, controlling, and executing all documentation and coordination activities across Daikin’s UAE Data Center projects.

The role ensures complete lifecycle control — from document preparation and internal review to submission, tracking, and archiving — covering technical, operational, quality, and client-related documentation.

This includes preparation of Root Cause Analyses (RCA), technical reports, meeting records, trackers, schedules, and all formal communications with clients, factories, and internal teams.

The position serves as the central coordination point to ensure all project documentation is accurate, standardized, properly approved, and submitted within defined deadlines.

Additionally, the role will lead meetings, drive action closure, and maintain transparent communication among stakeholders to support timely project execution and client satisfaction.

 

How you will contribute:

  1. Documentation Management & Control            
  • Lead the end-to-end control of all Data Center documentation (technical, quality, execution, reporting, and coordination).
  • Prepare, review, and finalize all client-facing submissions including RCAs, FMECAs, MOMs, trackers, progress reports, commissioning reports, checklists, and technical logs.
  • Develop and maintain document control systems ensuring version management, file structure, traceability, and compliance with both Daikin and client formats.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and factory for data inputs, approvals, and content validation before submission.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all documentation to clients, factory, or management.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital records on SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive for all project-related documents.

 

  1. RCA & Technical ReportsPrepare, compile, and finalize Root Cause Analyses (RCA) in collaboration with local service and factory team.
  • Maintain RCA logs, evidence archives, and ensure follow-up actions are tracked to closure.
  • Summarize RCA outcomes for client presentations and management reports.

 

  1. Meetings, Communication & Coordination
  • Lead coordination meetings with clients, factory, and internal teams covering RCA updates, document submissions, and project follow-ups.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, and minutes of meeting (MOM), track and close all action items.
  • Act as central point of contact for all communications related to documentation, progress updates, and factory correspondence.
  • Coordinate across departments to gather inputs and ensure alignment before submissions.
  • Escalate delays proactively and drive accountability across stakeholders.

 

  1. Execution & Progress Tracking
  • Monitor field execution of actions.
  • Review completion evidence (photos, reports, etc.) before document submission.
  • Maintain a unified tracker showing status of all actions, submissions, and pending approvals.
  • Support project team in preparation of method statements, EOPs, and operational documents.

 

  1.  Reporting & Analytics
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports summarizing documentation progress, RCA status, CAPA closures, and key project metrics.
  • Maintain dashboards (Excel/Power BI) for management visibility.
  • Prepare concise executive summaries for management and client review.

 

  1. Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal document control standards and client-specific documentation procedures.
  • Standardize file naming conventions, templates, and submission protocols.
  • Support audits or client inspections with properly organized document evidence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with Daikin’s internal documentation policies

  • You are also responsible to report any potential risk or hazard to the relevant HSE representative to take further action.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Fluency in English with strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable of data center best practices
  • Experience in project management reporting and tracking, as well as tools related to that
  • Experience in reviewing and management of documentation related to Data centres
