About the Role

 

The HSE Supervisor is based in Muscat, Oman and is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across workshops, warehouses, and customer sites in line with Oman HSE regulations. The role involves conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and audits while driving corrective actions and promoting a strong safety culture through training and awareness programs.

 

The role supports the implementation and maintenance of HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. The position also manages HSE documentation, incident reporting and investigation, and emergency preparedness activities including mock drills. Additionally, the role provides on-site HSE guidance to teams and contractors while supporting audits and coordination with regulatory authorities.

 

How You Will Make an Impact

 

  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders across workshops, warehouses, and customer sites in compliance with Oman HSE regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to employees, contractors, and ASPs to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards and audit readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain HSE documentation including Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), SOPs, and Emergency Response Plans.
  • Monitor PPE requirements, safety signage, and first aid arrangements, ensuring availability and compliance across all locations.
  • Report, record, and investigate incidents (including near misses), and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions in line with company and Oman legal requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and conduct mock drills (fire, refrigerant leaks, chemical spills) in line with Civil Defence requirements.
  • Provide HSE guidance and supervision to site teams, especially for new or less experienced workers.
  • Support internal audits, contractor evaluations, and communication with authorities on HSE matters when required.

 

What You Need to Succeed

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in HVAC, construction, or service operations.
  • Good working knowledge of Oman HSE regulations (Ministry of Labour, Civil Defence & Ambulance Authority, Environment Authority).
  • Hands-on experience in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for site and service activities.
  • NEBOSH IGC (mandatory) and IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and audit processes.
  • Experience in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and contractor safety management.
  • Good English communication skills (report writing, audits, and correspondence); Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to deliver safety training and awareness sessions effectively.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple site activities with a sense of urgency.
