About the Role
The HVAC Field Supervisor is responsible for supervising field service operations for Applied HVAC and VRV systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning activities. The role provides technical leadership to field technicians, coordinates daily service activities, and serves as the primary customer interface during site execution.
Based in Muscat, Oman, the Field Supervisor ensures all service activities comply with Daikin technical standards, contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), safety regulations, and customer expectations while driving operational excellence, team productivity, and first-time fix performance.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Supervise and coordinate daily field service activities, including installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of Applied HVAC equipment (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Pumps) and VRV systems.
- Plan, assign, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion of service activities in accordance with contractual SLAs and customer commitments.
- Provide technical leadership and on-site support to technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
- Ensure all service work is carried out in compliance with Daikin technical standards, OEM procedures, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with Service Planning, Spare Parts, Technical Support, and other internal teams to ensure efficient execution of field operations.
- Act as the primary on-site representative, maintaining professional communication with customers, consultants, and facility management teams while addressing service-related concerns.
- Review and verify service reports, maintenance records, commissioning documents, and equipment history for accuracy and timely submission.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, first-time fix rate, and service quality, implementing corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct on-the-job coaching and technical guidance to develop technicians' competencies and promote continuous learning.
- Enforce compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and safe handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
- Escalate critical technical, operational, or customer issues to the Service Manager and support root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes, equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and overall field service performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Hands-on experience with Applied HVAC systems, including Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Pumps, and VRV/VRF systems.
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Proficiency in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system faults.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop field service technicians.
- Good communication, customer relationship, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple service activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital service management/reporting systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
