Pre-Sales Application Engineer - HVAC

About the Role

As Pre-Sales Application Engineer – HVAC role is based in Casablanca and reporting to the Branch Manager. You will play a key role in combining technical expertise with customer-facing consulting. You will collaborate closely with distributors, consultants, contractors, and internal sales teams to design, validate, and optimize HVAC and refrigeration solutions for key projects. From technical assessment to proposal preparation, your insights will ensure high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Design HVAC and refrigeration systems, including VRV/VRF, Chillers, AHU/FCU, Hydronic systems, Heat Pumps, and other refrigeration solutions.
• Size and select equipment using company and industry-standard tools such as VRV Xpress, Chiller selection software, and AHU selection software.
• Prepare and validate technical documents, including schematics, BOQs, selections, compliance sheets, and layout proposals.
• Ensure all proposed solutions comply with ASHRAE, Eurovent, ISO, and local regulations.
• Review consultant specifications and drawings, identify design issues, and recommend practical and optimized solutions.
• Provide technical support to Sales Managers and Key Accounts, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and value-driven solutions.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, HVAC, or related discipline); MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC or construction, preferably in technical sales, consulting, or project support roles.
• Strong technical expertise in applied systems (chilled and hot water) and hands-on knowledge of DX systems (VRV, VRF, split units).
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance technical excellence and business objectives.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret MEP tender documents, technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to engage effectively with consultants, clients, and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiar with MEP design tools and methods, including AutoCAD, psychrometric analysis, heat load calculation, engineering estimations, and HVAC design.
• Languages: French and Arabic mandatory; English is an added advantage for communication with HQ and regional teams.
