QA/QC Engineer - HVAC

About the Role

The QA/QC Engineer – HVAC role is based in Dammam, KSA, and is responsible for ensuring all HVAC materials, installations, and processes comply with approved specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role oversees quality planning, inspections, testing, and documentation across project phases. Working closely with project teams and subcontractors, the position drives corrective actions and continuous improvement. It also supports material approvals, reporting, and adherence to ISO-based quality systems.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and submit material technical data sheets and method statements in line with project specifications.
• Conduct inspections and testing of materials and installations to ensure compliance with approved standards and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation for quality records, inspections, test results, and compliance tracking.
• Prepare, review, and respond to project documentation including WIR, MIR, MAR, ITPs, NCRs, and related quality reports.
• Monitor material submission and approval status and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement in QA/QC processes.
• Provide training and guidance on quality control procedures and best practices to site teams and new employees.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in QA/QC roles within the HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of relevant industry standards and codes.
• Proven experience in compliance management, quality tracking, and reporting.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical standards including SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEBB, UMC, ASME, ASTM, IPC, and UPC.
• Proficiency in QA/QC tools, documentation systems, and statistical or analytical techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with risk-based thinking in line with ISO standards.
• Relevant quality certifications such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or equivalent are an advantage.
