About the Role

 

The HVAC Application Engineer- Applied & VRV (Saudi Talent) role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will play a critical role in bridging technical expertise with commercial execution. You will work closely with consulting sales to design, validate, and deliver HVAC solutions that meet project requirements and regulatory standards. From early-stage technical support to order confirmation and handover, you will ensure accuracy, feasibility, and value-driven solutions that support successful project delivery and sales growth.

 

How You Will Make an Impact

 

  • Provide end-to-end technical support to the Consulting Sales team throughout the entire sales cycle, from pre-sales to order confirmation.
  • Size and select equipment (VRV, chillers, AHU/FCU, hydronic systems, and heat pumps) using company-approved and industry-standard tools such as VRV Xpress, chiller selection software, AHU selection software, and other engineering platforms.
  • Ensure the technical accuracy, feasibility, and compliance of proposed solutions prior to order finalization.
  • Coordinate and manage technical inquiries from the Consulting Sales team and internal engineering teams.
  • Perform timely and high-quality activities related to product selection, pricing, and quotation preparation.
  • Attend meetings with clients to discuss design aspects and project specifications.
  • Ensure that equipment selections and design processes are aligned with Product Department guidelines

 

What You Need to Succeed

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, HVAC, or a related discipline) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an HVAC Application Engineer, preferably in technical sales or application engineering.
  • Strong technical expertise in applied HVAC, DX, and VRV systems.
  • Proven ability to support the Consulting Sales team throughout the full sales lifecycle, including pre-sales technical support, solution validation, and value engineering.
  • Skilled in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting MEP design documents, technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, with the ability to identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience with MEP design tools and methodologies, including AutoCAD, psychrometric analysis, heat load calculations, engineering estimation, and HVAC system design.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for the local market.
