About the Role

 

As a Legal Officer (Saudi Talent) at Daikin Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will support the Legal function across commercial contracts, compliance, and day-to-day legal operations. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career legal professional who wants hands-on exposure in a multinational, industrial environment and the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded in-house counsel. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and regional legal teams to ensure legal compliance while enabling the business to operate efficiently and responsibly.

 

How You Will Make an Impact

 

Commercial Contracts Support

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial agreements such as sales, service, supplier, and partnership contracts.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and other departments to ensure contractual requirements and approvals are met.
  • Ensure contract templates and executed agreements comply with Saudi regulations and Daikin internal policies.
  • Maintain an organized contract repository and track renewals and expiries.

 

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Support implementation of compliance initiatives, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and corporate governance policies.
  • Maintain compliance records and documentation to support internal and external audits.

 

Litigation & Dispute Coordination

  • Assist in managing disputes, claims, and litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
  • Prepare case summaries, collect supporting documentation, and track the status of ongoing matters.
  • Support meetings with government authorities and external entities, as required.

 

Legal Advisory & Risk Support

  • Provide initial guidance on routine legal queries and escalate complex matters to the Legal Manager.
  • Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating internal legal policies and guidelines.
  • Stay informed of relevant laws and regulations impacting Daikin’s business in Saudi Arabia.

 

Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, Sales, and Operations to ensure legal alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate with Daikin’s regional legal team to ensure consistency in documentation and practices.

 

Reporting & Legal Administration

  • Prepare periodic reports on contract status, legal reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information and correspondence.
  • Manage legal documentation, including powers of attorney, contracts, and corporate records, within the digital Legal Portal.

 

What You Need to Succeed

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international environment in industrial business
  • Strong working knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws and regulations.
  • Solid contract review and drafting skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, business-minded, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high ethical standards.
