Our Recruitment process step by step

Step 1

Phone call with our HR (or agency). This is a typical “screening”: we will check if your profile suits a job description, ask you about your motivation and your key needs and expectations. Of course you are encourage to screen us as well, to check if our offer is something that you are looking for.

Step 2

Interview with your potential manager and HR. The interview takes 60 min. We would like to know you better and discuss the details and opportunities regarding the function. For some positions, we will also test your Excel skills. You will be asked to perform some exercises in Excel. The test as such normally takes up to an hour.

Step 3

SHL test. Sounds scary, but it’s a matter of preparation and positive attitude. We would like to examine your numeric, verbal and induction reasoning plus assess if your personality profile fits the role and Daikin culture. The test can be done online. You will have 7 days to do the tests, so you can stagger them and prepare yourself. Remember: the tests let us minimalize subjectivity in the assessment!

Step 4

The final interview with Branch Manager and responsible Manager  from our HQ in Belgium (DENV). The interview is done online vie Teams so you can do it from home and in English.

Step 5

So – you are THE ONE! The offer will be made by HR via phone and confirmed via email. If you say “yes” we will proceed your onboarding. Welcome at Daikin!

Please be prepared that our recruitment process takes quite some time. We select the candidates carefully, at the same time encouraging them to do the same with us. Both sides need to be sure that we are a good match! This is in line with our values and the way of working. We would like to build strong relationship and offer you a long-lasting career within the company. That is why we also don’t use the probation period agreements.
