Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS) is a branch of DENV located in Warsaw. As a competency center we aim at being one of the driving forces behind the processes transformation: optimization, standardization and automation in the areas of supply, service, master data, controlling, financial reporting and HR.
Department
As the EMEA Development Centre (EDC), we develop air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation products as well as controls and IOT solutions. These are produced in different factories located within and outside Europe. The products are put on the market through our various Daikin distributors and affiliates within Europe, Africa and Middle East.
The EMEA Development Centre headquarters is in Ostend and Ghent. This vacant position is located in the Polish office, although a training in Belgium will be foreseen of 6 months.
Within the CAD environment (re)design HVAC products. The currently used package is Solid Edge (3D/2D), but on short term a migration is planned to Siemens NX;
Your role
As a draftsman within DEBS (Daikin Europe Business Support), you will be supporting the development centre located in Belgium with the development/modifications of heat pumps, refrigeration systems, commercial air conditioning and ventilation products by providing the required 2D drawings and Bill of Material.
Core tasks in these developments include:
- Make 2D to prepare for prototype parts ordering and for mass production for a wide range of parts (piping, sheet metal, insulation, plastics, packing, labels, wires,…) according to specific Daikin methods;
- Make 2D drawings on assembly methods as input for Production Engineering to prepare for mass production.
- Adjust existing drawings based on requests (eg. from project team or due to improvements for productions, quality or cost,…)
- Maintain the Bill Of Material by using specific Daikin designed system;
- Make specification drawings which are used as input for marketing data;
- Determine your own work-plan autonomously while taking the planning into account, this in consultation with the project leader or manager.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, for example in mechanics, electromechanics, industrial design.
- You are acquainted with CAD 3D and 2D design (parametric) and Microsoft Office tools;
- You work structured and have an attention for detail.
- You report clearly on status/work content.
- You work autonomously according to defined methods and standards.
- You have the natural behaviour to make priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of both spoken and written English are essential for this position.
- This vacancy is open to both recent graduates and candidates with experience.
