Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese multinational and worldwide the biggest producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV is Daikin’s sales, development, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa comprising headquarter offices in Brussels and Oostende, 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS) is a branch of DENV located in Warsaw. As a competency center we aim at being one of the driving forces behind the processes transformation: optimization, standardization and automation in the areas of supply, service, master data, controlling, financial reporting and HR.
As a M&A Analyst you will be part of the team that main responsibility is mid-term strategic planning to steer the Group in the best possible direction, and support on a large variety of strategic projects including merger and acquisitions and integration activities for new acquired sister companies. This includes (but is not limited to):
Job overview:
- You will be involved in the creation of new business strategies and do the follow up of the execution in our Affiliates or Sales Business Units all over the EMEA region,
- You will be working on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) projects and Post-Merger Integration (PMI) activities for the newly acquired companies.
- You’ll give support to our Daikin Europe NV Group Management Challenges (eg. Lean HQ and reduction of fixed cost, HR reformation, organization design,…)
- You will be actively involved in the creation of the Group strategy, in consultation with EMEA Top management and colleagues of other departments and countries,
- Market Intelligence Activities across EMEA including different type of competitor monitoring, general business and organizational trends follow up.
- You will actively involve on a wide variety of (international) projects or provide ad-hoc support, wherever is needed.
- You will be facilitating productive meetings, workshops and driving thoughtful discussions with diverse stakeholder groups.
Profile
- You are an open-minded, dynamic individual that is a real team player.
- You combine a hands-on attitude with the ability to take a helicopter view.
- You can bridge functional and organizational divides to align different opinions behind common goals.
- You have a broad interest in company processes and market developments.
- You have a Master degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar.
- You have 1+ years’ experience in a similar roles or positions.
- International experiences are an asset (work, living, trainee, volunteering, Erasmus, …)
- You have a good knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of another European language is an asset.
