About the Role
The Product Engineer – VRV/DX will be based in Riyadh and will provide technical support for VRV/DX system design, selection, and application. The role focuses on reviewing project designs, optimizing system layouts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting sales teams with advanced pre-sales engineering. It also involves preparing VRV system layout drawings on CAD, issuing compliance statements, responding to consultant comments, and providing ongoing product support.
How You Will Make an Impact
Product Support
- Conduct detailed technical and market comparison studies against competitors and propose optimized product specifications.
- Coordinate with Certification teams on performance, functional, EMC, CB testing, and labeling requirements in line with regional regulations.
- Ensure product compliance with regional regulations and government requirements in coordination with Certification teams.
- Provide technical support to Sales teams and coordinate with factories to ensure timely responses to product-related queries.
- Maintain a centralized database of technical queries and manage the assigned product portfolio for the sales region.
- Coordinate with Certification teams to ensure all approvals and certifications are completed before product importation.
Application Engineering & System Design
- Lead VRV and DX system design support, including load estimation reviews, equipment selection, psychrometric validation, refrigerant piping analysis, and control logic coordination.
- Review consultant HVAC designs and specifications to ensure correct system application, identifying gaps, proposing optimized solutions, and ensuring VRV systems are properly sized and integrated into building designs.
- Provide advanced technical guidance to sales, contractors, and consultants on system capabilities, installation requirements, and best‑practice VRV design methodologies.
- Support project teams with value engineering by evaluating alternative configurations that improve efficiency, performance, redundancy, and commercial competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regional HVAC standards, safety requirements, and application constraints across all VRV system selections.
- Develop and maintain application guidelines, design standards, piping best‑practice references.
Consultant Support & Specification Work
- Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and design seminars for consultants and key stakeholders to position VRV solutions effectively in early project stages.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitor systems to advise consultants on differentiating features, operational benefits, and performance advantages.
Training & Internal Support
- Deliver technical training to Sales, Application Engineers, service partners, and distributors on VRV design, system behavior, diagnostics, and application best practices.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VRV/DX Application Engineering, Product Engineer/Specialist, HVAC System Design, or Technical Support within the HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of VRV system design principles, refrigerant regulations, HVAC controls, and regional standards.
- Strong analytical and application engineering capabilities.
- Deep understanding of VRV system behavior, control logic, and design constraints.
- Ability to support cross‑functional teams, including Sales, Service, and After‑Sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultant‑facing skills.
- Proficiency in HVAC selection tools, and MS office.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Strong documentation habits, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
