Daikin Middle East & Africa (DAME) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.

DAME is Daikin’s Middle East and Africa regional HQ. The regional has headquarter in Dubai and other offices in Abu Dhabi, Cairo (Egypt), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Qatar as well as 2 production plants, and 2 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the MEA region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively match customer requirements and pain points with tailored HVAC solutions.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate the unique value proposition.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFPs and RFIs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Handle account management activities within DKSA, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Achieve defined sales booking, invoicing, and profit margin targets.
  • Proactively generate new enquiries and acquire customers, including clients, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Review incoming enquiries and prepare comprehensive commercial and technical proposals in coordination with the applications team.
  • Prepare technical selections and system designs when required.
  • Follow up on technical submittals to obtain approvals from clients and consultants.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Lead negotiations of contractual and commercial terms with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Service team to ensure high-quality after-sales support.
  • Monitor project payment milestones and ensure timely realization of receivables.
  • Communicate critical customer requirements to internal teams including development, production, and marketing.
  • Maintain and update CRM records regularly; generate and submit sales reports to management.
  • Conduct customer site visits for meetings, presentations, and system demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Travel within and outside Saudi Arabia to engage with key customers and stakeholders.

Job Requirements  

 

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer with in-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex enterprise-level HVAC solutions.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Skilled in presenting and explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience and understanding of Chillers, Airside products, and VRV/VRF systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both technical and commercial contexts.
  • Proven track record of success in the Saudi Arabian HVAC market.
  • Strong familiarity with contractual terms, commercial negotiations, and bidding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel both within and outside Saudi Arabia as required.

 

Education

  • Mechanical Engineering degree

KPIs:

  • Develop high-quality sales reports that provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and cultivate new sales channels and expand the customer base.
  • Negotiate favorable commercial terms to secure optimal margins while minimizing discounts.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty to Daikin Saudi.
  • Collaborate closely with Key Accounts (KA), Business Development (BD), Customer Service (CS), and Service (SVC) teams to drive performance and achieve company objectives.
  • Promote and contribute to securing Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Operation & Maintenance Contracts (OMC), either as part of sales packages or as standalone agreements.
  • Actively support and promote the Refrigeration business segment.
  • Convert selected VRV projects from supply-only to supply and install contracts to increase revenue and service value.
  • Escalate and report any service-related failures or customer dissatisfaction to top management for prompt resolution.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives and customer engagement programs to enhance brand visibility and customer relationships.
  • Maintain geographic coverage and diligently follow up on leads provided by management.
