About the Role
As a Sales Application Engineer – HVAC role is based in Casablanca and reporting to the Branch Manager. You will play a critical role in bridging technical expertise with commercial execution. You will support Sales Managers, distributors, consultants, and contractors to design, validate, and deliver HVAC and refrigeration solutions that meet project requirements and regulatory standards. From early-stage technical support to order confirmation and handover, you will ensure accuracy, feasibility, and value-driven solutions that support successful project delivery and sales growth.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Provide end-to-end technical support to Sales Managers throughout the entire sales cycle, from pre-sales to order confirmation.
- Design HVAC and refrigeration systems, including VRV/VRF, Chillers, AHU/FCU, Hydronic systems, Heat Pumps, and Refrigeration solutions, aligned with project requirements.
- Size and select equipment using company and industry-standard tools such as VRV Xpress, Chiller selection software, AHU selection software, and other engineering platforms.
- Prepare, review, and validate technical documentation related to confirmed orders, including equipment selections, BOQs, datasheets, compliance and deviation sheets.
- Ensure technical accuracy, feasibility, and compliance of proposed solutions prior to order finalization.
- Coordinate and manage technical clarifications between Sales, consultants, contractors, distributors, and internal engineering teams.
- Ensure all proposed solutions comply with ASHRAE, Eurovent, ISO, and applicable local regulations and standards.
- Review contractor and distributor specifications and drawings, identify technical gaps, and propose corrective or optimized solutions.
- Support sales closure by addressing technical concerns and contributing to timely order completion and handover to operations, when required.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, HVAC, or a related discipline) from a recognized university; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 5 years of relevant experience in the HVAC, construction, or building services industry, preferably in technical sales, application engineering, or project support.
- Strong technical expertise in applied HVAC systems, including chilled and hot water systems, and hands-on knowledge of DX systems such as VRV, VRF, and split units.
- Proven ability to support Sales Managers across the full sales lifecycle, including pre-sales technical support, solution validation, value engineering, and order finalization.
- Skilled in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting MEP tender documents, technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, identifying gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Commercially aware, results-driven, and execution-focused, with the ability to balance technical excellence, cost efficiency, and business objectives.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and professional communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Handon experience with MEP design tools and methodologies, including AutoCAD, psychrometric analysis, heat load calculations, engineering estimations, and HVAC system design.
- French and Arabic are mandatory for the local market; English proficiency is an advantage for coordination with HQ and regional teams.
