Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese multinational and worldwide the biggest producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV is Daikin’s sales, development, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa  comprising headquarter offices in Brussels and Oostende, 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS) is a branch of DENV located in Warsaw. As a competency center we aim at being one of the driving forces behind the processes transformation: optimization, standardization and automation in the areas of supply, service, master data, controlling, financial reporting and HR.

 

 


We are currently looking for a colleague who will join our office in Warsaw – Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS), a branch of DENV, as part of the team of sales and corporate planners responsible for the Scandinavia region. The team is partly based locally, and partly in Poland.
Daikin is present in Scandinavia with 4 local entities in Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, responsible for the sales in the region. The team of planners is responsible to support and drive sales in the whole region, in close cooperation with the sales teams, the Managing Directors, and the Top Management of the four countries.
Your responsibilities

As a Sales Planner you will be responsible for several processes and you will closely cooperate with multiple stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

•    Strategic partnering with Managing Director/Management to support business strategy, as well as continuous cooperationwith internal stakeholders (Finance, Sales, HQ, Legal)
•    Keeping control of the full P&L of the entities under your responsibility through variance analysis (Actual vs Plan vs Forecast) and recommendation of actions
•    Preparation, consolidation and submission of HQ reporting and budgets (MMR, ER, Anaplan)
•    Reporting to Top-Management (P&L, Budget, Revised Budget, BOD) ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance in all reporting processes
•    Budgeting cycles: Budget, Revised Budget, Forecast. Planning, data upload, validation
•    Monitoring of SG&A spending and cost efficiency initiatives
•    Internal control execution (JSOX controls, quarterly self-assessments, monitoring)

 

 

Our requirements

Experience, education and technical skills 
•    Master degree in Economics, Business or similar.
•    3 years of experience as a controller or in analytical positions (big 4), with exposure to Top Management roles.
•    Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a complex, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
•    Demonstrated flexibility to manage ad hoc requests and strict deadlines.
•    Expert knowledge of MS Office, especially in the usage of MS Excel, able to create and maintain reports using complex formulas.
•    Knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles is considered an advantage.
•    Proficient knowledge of English.
•    Flexibility to travel 1/month.

Interpersonal skills 
•    Good communication skills, not afraid to ask questions and raise issues.
•    Accurate level of work, with ability to dig into the details, without losing the helicopter view.
•    Team player but with ability to work in autonomy, and able to organise own tasks to respect strict deadlines.
•    Critical and proactive mindset with ability to challenge procedures and suggest improvements.
•    Strong analytical skills are essential.
•    Accuracy and attention to details.
