Construction of the €300 million facility began in 2023 and represents the largest foreign investment in the history of the Łódź Special Economic Zone. The new production complex covers an area of 320,000 m². The general contractor for the project is TAKENAKA EUROPE GmbH Sp. z o.o., part of the Japanese Takenaka Corporation.

The complex includes an office building, a technologically advanced production hall with a warehouse, as well as six specialized technical facilities providing essential support functions. The entire project was designed using BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology.

The new Daikin factory in Ksawerów not only strengthens the company’s position on the European market but also sets the direction for the development of sustainable industry in Poland, offering European customers products created locally, responsibly, and with care for the environment.

Production Process — Daikin Quality and Precision

1. Advanced Design and Testing

In the “designed and manufactured in Europe” model, Daikin integrates local market needs with technological innovation. Heat pumps undergo rigorous quality tests, including simulations of operation in extreme temperatures and leak testing for refrigerant R‑290.

2. Component Assembly Using BIM Technology

The facility, designed using BIM technology, enables precise planning of every stage of production — from component processing to final assembly. The production hall is equipped with automated assembly lines that ensure high repeatability and reliability.

3. Final Testing and Certification

Every heat pump undergoes quality testing that confirms:

compliance with safety standards related to R‑290 refrigerant,

excellent acoustic and energy performance,

compatibility with smart home systems.

Producing in Poland shortens delivery times to European markets and supports Europe’s ongoing energy transformation.
