KSAWERÓW

Where global vision meets local potential

  • The decision to build a Daikin factory in Ksawerów was not accidental. The company analyzed numerous locations across Europe, ultimately selecting a site that best supports its long-term development strategy — in terms of production, logistics, human resources, and operational activities.

In its official communications, Daikin highlights several key factors that determined the choice of Ksawerów as the location for an investment worth EUR 300 million — the largest foreign industrial investment in Poland in recent years. It is a location that offers excellent access to the markets of Western, Southern, and Northern Europe. Daikin officially states that investing in Poland facilitates access to other markets and supports the company’s export-oriented operations.

Strong access to highly qualified talent

Poland, and the Łódź region in particular, provides access to one of the largest pools of highly qualified workers in Central and Eastern Europe. This is a key factor for the heat pump manufacturing industry, which requires both strong technical expertise and experience in working with advanced, modern production systems.

Central location within Poland and Europe

Ksawerów is located:

  • in the immediate vicinity of Łódź
  • close to major national roads and motorways (the S14 expressway and the A2 motorway)
  • at the heart of the European logistics network

Strong, stable, and local supply chains

Poland is one of Europe’s fastest-growing manufacturing hubs, and the Łódź region offers broad access to component suppliers and technical service providers.

Location within the Łódź Special Economic Zone (ŁSEZ)

The factory was established within the Ksawerów Subzone of the Łódź Special Economic Zone (ŁSEZ). This environment was designed to enable the efficient execution of large-scale industrial projects and to support their long-term development. It is the largest foreign investment in the history of the Łódź Special Economic Zone.

ŁSEZ is more than just a location on the map; it is a ready-made ecosystem for growth — offering experienced public-sector partners, predictable infrastructure, and processes tailored to major industrial investments. This is why Ksawerów, as part of the Łódź Special Economic Zone, was selected as the site for Daikin’s factory of European significance.

The location provides favorable investment conditions as well as comprehensive administrative and infrastructure support.

Alignment with Daikin’s “proximity strategy”

For many years, Daikin has pursued its so-called proximity strategy, which focuses on producing equipment as close as possible to the markets where it is sold.In its official communications, the company repeatedly emphasizes that Ksawerów fits perfectly into this operating model — enabling the production of heat pumps at the very center of the European market. The new factory will become one of the largest heat pump manufacturing facilities in Europe, significantly increasing the production capacity of the entire Daikin Group. The factory in Ksawerów is therefore not just another investment; it is a key element of Daikin’s European manufacturing structure, supporting the company’s ambitious growth in the sector of future-oriented technologies.

Strong government and local authority support

The investment received official government support, including:

  • a recommendation from the Interministerial Team for Strategic Investments for 2011–2030, as part of cooperation with the Ministry of Development and Technology
  • a government grant to support the implementation of the project
  • full support from local and regional authorities

Extensive availability of investment sites

The factory was built on a 320,000 m² site, which made it possible to:

  • construct a plant with high production capacity
  • allow for future expansion
  • develop a manufacturing and logistics center of European significance

Ksawerów became home to Daikin’s factory because it offers ideal conditions for developing the technologies of the future and creating jobs that have real impact on people, the economy, and the environment. It is a point on the European map that enables a broader perspective — shaping direction for the entire industry and building innovation based on sustainability, quality, and reliability.
