DAIKIN MANUFACTURING POLAND
Daikin Industries Limited is a brand whose roots date back to 1924, when Akira Yamada founded Osaka Kinzoku Kogyosho Ltd. in Osaka. Initially, the company produced components for aviation and the metal industry, but already in the 1930s it began pioneering work on refrigerants, paving the way for the dynamic development of the global air‑conditioning sector.
In 1963, the company adopted the name Daikin Industries Ltd., and the following decades became a series of technological breakthroughs — from the first compact compressors and air‑conditioning systems to the revolutionary VRV system, introduced to the Japanese market in 1982, which transformed energy‑efficiency standards in commercial buildings.
Today, Daikin is a respected global leader and the world’s largest manufacturer of HVAC systems, present in more than 170 countries and recognized for its blend of Japanese precision, innovation, and environmental responsibility. The company is the only one on the market that develops both equipment and refrigerants in‑house, enabling it to set global standards for quality and energy efficiency.
The Daikin factory in Ksawerów is part of this remarkable, more than 100‑year history. It is here that global technologies meet local commitment and real impact on the quality of life of thousands of customers across Europe. By working at Daikin, you become part of a company that has been reshaping the world of indoor comfort for decades — from air conditioning in Japanese trains in the 1930s to modern heat pumps supporting Europe’s energy transformation today.
DAIKIN EUROPE N.V.
The Daikin Europe N.V. factory in Ostend is one of the most important production and technological hubs for Daikin worldwide. Its history dates back to 1973, when it began operating as the first European factory of the Japanese HVAC manufacturer. Since then, the facility has grown into one of the most advanced production centers for heat pumps and air‑conditioning systems in Europe. The manufacturing site serves as the parent company for Daikin Manufacturing Poland.
In its early years, the factory focused on assembling and producing basic air‑conditioning systems, gradually taking over part of the production from Japan, which strengthened its position within the company’s global structure. In recent years, the factory has become a flagship example of Europe’s industrial transformation towards Industry 4.0. Significant investments have been made in new production lines for Daikin Altherma heat pumps and in the complete modernization of sheet‑metal processing systems.
The Ostend factory has been awarded the prestigious “Factory of the Future” title four times: in 2017, 2020, 2023, and 2026 — meaning it has met the highest European standards of innovation and sustainable manufacturing for 12 consecutive years. The award confirms the exceptional quality of its production processes, advanced digitalization, and strong commitment to environmental protection.
